A PROFILE OF MAAGRITA EXPORTS LTD The Name – Maagrita was formed out of Three Words Namely Mango, Agriculture and Tamil Nadu. The First Two Letters of MAngo, the first Four letters of AGRIculture and First Two Letters of TAmil Nadu joined together formed the acronym MAAGRITA PARENT COMPANY Transglobal Technologies Inc., a global telecom solutions provider with headquaters in Dallas,Texas is the parent company of Maagrita Export Ltd. Transglobal Technologies Inc., provides mission critical telecom software development service and Hardware solution to leading Telecom Equipment manufacturers, carriers and service providers THE MOVING FORCE Mr.PAUL PANDIAN , President and Founder of Transglobal Technologies Inc.,is the force behind Maagrita Exports Ltd. Mr.Pandian holds an M.S in Engineering from Syracuse University and an M.B.A from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. MAAGRITA EXPORTS LTD Government of India has identified the southern part of Tamil Nadu state in India as an Agri Export Zone(AEZ) for mangoes. Maagrita Export Ltd is the Private Promoter in the AEZ Mango initiative. Maagrita has established the State of Art Plant at Nillakottai Food Park, SIPCOT Industrial Complex, just 35 Kms from the Famous Temple city of Madurai. Maagrita deals in other Fruits and Vegetables like Grapes, Sapota, Papaya, Guava, okra, drumstick,flat beans etc., FACTORY The Factory as such has been located in a predominantly Fruit and Vegetable growing area and has got a catchments area comprising of a three districts of Dindigul, Theni and Madurai which is near the sirumalai ranges and Kodaikanal hills. This helps in the sourcing out of the hill range and the exotic vegetable spectrum such as Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, Leeks, Celery, Zucchini, strawberry etc., Pack House The Factory is divided in to Two clear cut segments to cater to the growing needs of the end users. We have a fully automated Pack House set to International Standards, complete in all respects, with cooling chambers, Ripening chambers, an Pre-cooling before shipment chambers, besides the automated crate washing machines. The cooling chambers and the Ripening chambers have been sourced out from Australia and has the Facility to Trouble shoot online to through a very intricate software that has been installed. This facilities help to keep the product that is to be exported in a cool chain so as to ensure farm freshness. Process House The Process House has got facilities to turn out pickles, chutneys, canned products and de-hydrated products. The Pulping plant can pulp a range of fruits such as Alphonso and totapuri mangoes besides, papaya,banana and all other tropical fruits The de-hydration plant can dehydrate almost any type of Vegetables/Fruits with the product losing its nutritive value, colour or flavor. We have also facilities to de-hydrate Culinary herbs like Rosemary, Thyme, Basil, oregano, marjoram and peppermint, besides, curry leaves and coriander. EXTENSION AND SOURCING The back end of the factory is manned by the Field Officers who are located at strategic places in the three districts to locate potential contact farmers and nurture them by imparting technical know how and taking back farm products on a buy back basis. The systems of contract farming has paid rich dividends and therefore the plant will not be starved of raw material and ensure that it will run to capacity utilization. The sourcing/Procurement Team are mobile and have been provided with vehicles to ensure that the materials harvested is taken delivery off, from the farm gates and brought to the factory with the least leeway time STAFF AND EXECUTIVES The staff and Officers at the factory level and Head office level are Handpicked from the industry to achieve core competence in the respective fields. We have food technologist, laboratory technicians, refrigeration engineers, Mechanical Engineers, packers, supervisors and machine operators and a fleet of vehicles to take care of logistics. At the Head office level and the Factory level, we have marketing personal to liaise with customers and convert enquiries in to firm orders. There fore in all respects Maagrita is well Equipped to meet any demand are requirements of the customer from any part of the world. CERTIFICAT ION/ PACKAGING We Follow Indian and World-class standards and have the HACCP, FPO and APEDA Certification. Our Exports have commenced since march 2006 and along side the domestic sale has also recorded good returns by way of sales of fresh fruits and vegetables, pulps, pickles and de-hydrated fruits. EUREPGAP(GLOBALGAP) Certification process is on. Packing Technology has also been infused in to the Pack House and today we can meet the packing requirements of our clients in whatever form or specifications is required. We have, facilities to stuff reefer containers and ordinary containers at the factory through mechanized/semi mechanized equipments which conform to International standards. LOGISTICS Logistics and Logistic providers already have tied up with Maagrita to meet the ever-growing demand of customers. Being the first of its kind in the southern peninsular, Maagrita is on the path forward to achieve a big leap and are sure that it will help our country to sustain its name in the Global market as a Winter garden for all the European countries and the World as a whole.
